An Honest Note About Squarespace in 2026
Squarespace makes beautiful templates and runs a polished editor. We still build Squarespace sites for clients who've chosen the platform, and we maintain our Squarespace page as a capability signal. We also want to be transparent about how Squarespace fits, and doesn't fit, into our 2026 workflow.
The trade-offs:

Closed platform means closed toolchain.
Our AI product suite (DraftDash, Catori, Vigil, MOG, Thea, Ethel) does not integrate with Squarespace's sandboxed environment. Your site lives outside our AI stack by design.

Platform evolution in progress.
Squarespace is actively adding AI features of their own, which reshapes their editor and their extensibility picture. We stay calibrated to Squarespace's current state when we work on it, but we don't claim ongoing mastery of their roadmap pivots.

Export and portability are limited.
Migrating off Squarespace to another platform is a full rebuild, there's no practical export path that preserves design and functionality.

Compliance is theirs to solve, not ours.
Vigil doesn't extend into Squarespace. If and when Squarespace offers ADA/WCAG tooling, it will be at their pricing and feature scope.
